兴奋,USB 3.0真的来了

稍早前，USB应用者论坛(USB-IF)在台北的USB 3.0开发商论坛(SuperSpeed USB Developers Conference)中，公布了75款通过USB 3.0认证的产品。从年初在CES上展现的热力，到现在开始大力在主板和笔电上推广，USB 3.0正朝普及的方向前进。

USB-IF总裁兼主席Jeff Ravencraft认为，更快的传输率(从480Mb/s提升到5Gb/s)；支持更快的充电速度，以及平均耗电比USB 2.0还少三分之二等优势，是今年起在高端PC、笔记本电脑领域推动USB 3.0普及的最重要驱动因素。

USB 3.0尚无原生支持根源,等待Intel

    AMD的890GX芯片组已经可以提供原生SATA 6Gbps接口支持，但几乎同时宣布，目前实用价值甚至应该更大的USB 3.0接口却尚无任何一家厂商的芯片组能够提供支持，就连独立控制器芯片也只有NEC出品，这种支持厂商数量发展缓慢的环境无疑阻碍了USB 3.0标准的普及进度。而根据近日媒体披露的消息，至今没有一款芯片组原生支持USB 3.0的原因并不在于成本或技术问题，而是在于：intel还没有准备好提供正式版USB 3.0控制器规范。

    让我们先把时钟拨回2008年，即USB 3.0标准的制定阶段。不知大家是否还记得，USB 3.0标准公布前还有过一场不大不小的争端。AMD、NVIDIA、VIA曾联合表态称，有意另起炉灶推出自己的USB 3.0标准。而原因就在于，主导USB标准机构“USB执行论坛”的intel拒不开放USB 3.0标准详细规范，预计要在自家主板上独占USB 3.0支持6到9个月后才会向其他厂商公开技术。

    这一争端当时的交锋十分激烈。intel澄清他们没有开放的并不是USB 3.0规范本身，而是由intel自行开发的USB 3.0总线控制器规范。反intel联盟则又拉拢了SiS，力图推出自己的控制器规范。

东芝1TB袖珍硬盘:能放进口袋的图书馆

东芝在上周日推出了新一代Crams系列移动硬盘，主打袖珍存储市场，和市面上的主流移动硬盘相比，其优势主要在于极高存储密度。Crams系列移动硬盘大小和一张名片差不多，重量仅为6盎司（186克），有5种颜色可以选择，还预装了基于Windows系统的NTI备份软件。此外，东芝还表示，Crams系列硬盘百分之百使用可循环利用的材料制造，符合环保人士苛刻的要求。

容量方面，Crams系列袖珍硬盘可以分为四种：500GB、640GB、750GB和1TB，价格分别是119、139、159、199美元。
