家庭娱乐设备以及便携式设备对高清视频的需求，正在加速刺激高速互联接口的迅猛发展。从过去一年来看，各种有线接口标准的表现真称的上是“你方唱罢我登场。”
2009年1月，视频电子标准联盟VESA在美国CES 2009展会上公布了DisplayPort 1.2接口标准；4月，中国数字高清互动视音接口(DiiVA)推广工作组正式发布DiiVA规格1.0版；5月，USB-IF论坛在日本召开首次USB 3.0开发者大会；几天后，串行ATA国际组织发布传输速度达6Gbps的新版规范；6月，HDMI Licensing公司发布最新HDMI 1.4规范；8月，中国电子视像行业协会在广州召开DiiVA采用者大会；9月，HDMI Licensin在东莞召开第三届HDMI开发者研讨会；11月，VESA发布Mini DisplayPort接口标准。而在2010年的CES展会期间，VESA正式发布了DisplayPort 1.2标准；HDMI联盟和USB联盟推出了多个经认证的终端产品；DiiVA 推广工作组也正式推出了首款原型产品。
中国市场毫无疑问是几大标准争夺的重心，2009年10月工信部发出的《关于征集数字音视频接口标准制定项目提案的通知》，更是将这种竞争态势推向了新的高潮。目前，已经有HDMI、DisplayPort、DiiVA和CHDI四种接口标准提交了申报材料。事实上，HDMI、DisplayPort、USB等国际标准的发展，在促进良性竞争的同时，也极大刺激了中国自主知识产权标准的推出。
